I'm compromised by arthritis atm. Hopefully I'll get that sorted out, but my ebike is a boon for me, and I can certainly ride comfortably around town and beyond.
I am a very keen recreational rider, and in the past 60+ years have ridden Centuries, cols and 2 or 3x30mile+ rides a week.
