A sleek sculptural design that looks good anywhere! Entirely handmade hand fabricated by the master silversmiths at the Michelsen firm in Copenhagen, Denmark. A very rare design that I have only seen for sale a few times in the last ten years! Measures 5-5/8" high by 2-1/4" wide at top by 1-3/4" diameter at base. Weighs 93.7 grams total. Marked at bottom as shown, "Michelsen Copenhagen Sterling Denmark" and "SS" for Soren Sass design. Excellent vintage condition.

A huge heavy and quite rare vintage 1970s handmade sterling silver minimalist modernist Heart design pendant necklace by Andreas Mikkelsen in Denmark. Super heavy gauge sterling silver sheet cut-out into a heart shaped pendant, and with two length of sterling chain leading to a unique handmade closure at rear. Entirely handmade knockout design piece of wearable art jewelry! Mikkelsen was both a manager at Georg Jensen and an independent goldsmith. Mikkelsen joined the Georg Jensen silversmithy in 1955, initially as a member of the management team. He became head of sales, head of production and product development and eventually managing director. He left Jensen in 1969-70. At this time he was developing his own artistic talents and collaborated with the silversmith Ove Wendt between 1970 and 1978 as well as working independently. This pendant is from that short period where he was designing for himself, and collaborating with Ove Wendt. The pendant measures just under 3.75" wide by 3" tall, and hangs on an integral 23" chain with unique handmade closure at rear. The necklace weighs 84.6 grams total. Marked as shown in my closeup photos, "Andreas Mikkelsen Denmark 925S" and design number "26". There are also two small hallmarks at center that I cannot make out, but are likely import marks into another country where this necklace would have been originally sold, most likely in Europe. Super rare design, super heavy construction, and striking minimalist modernist design! Excellent vintage condition.

A sculptural vintage 1970s handmade sterling silver and colorful moss agate modernist bracelet by Henning Ulrichsen of Fredericia, Denmark. Ulrichsen was a successful designer of modernist style jewelry in Denmark in the 1960s and 70s, and his business has since been run by his children and grand children. This is a sleek and powerful modernist bracelet by Ulrichsen that is also rare and unusual. It's the only example of his jewelry that I've seen (and I've seen hundreds of pieces by him) with moss agate, an unusual mysterious and colorful variety of quartz. The outer surfaces of the bracelet are highly polished, while the underside of the stone setting and the inside of the bracelet band are both textured as shown. This is a larger sized bracelet, and it will accommodate up to a 7.5" wrist. Measures 1-3/8" wide at top, rises 1/2" above the wrist, and weighs a hefty two ounces or approx 58 grams total. The stone setting at top has a hidden latch that opens and hinges outwards to allow an easy on and off the wrist. Fully marked inside the band as shown, "HU" maker mark for Henning Ulrichsen, also "925S Sterling Handmade Denmark". Excellent vintage condition.

An outstanding design, superbly crafted, and in great vintage condition! Measures 7/8" by 7/8" at top, rises 1/2" above the finger, size 9 to 9.25 US, and weighs 14.3 grams total. A statement-making vintage 1960s 70s handmade sterling silver and amber modernist cocktail style ring by Carl Ove Frydensberg of Copenhagen, Denmark. Frydensberg was known for his high-quality craftsmanship and design of various styles from the Old Nordic to sleek modernist to brutalist. He was in business from about 1949-1982. This ring is entirely handmade in sterling silver and genuine natural amber with a graduating silver band atop which sits a large bezel-set amber natural orange cabochon. The stone actually looks a bit different in different lights in my photos, but it is orange amber, not cherry amber. Makes a statement on the finger! Measures 1" long at top, and the band is a size 7 US. Weighs 6.7 grams total. Marked as shown, "COF Denmark Sterling". Excellent vintage condition.
