A sleek sculptural design that looks good anywhere! Entirely handmade hand fabricated by the master silversmiths at the Michelsen firm in Copenhagen, Denmark. A very rare design that I have only seen for sale a few times in the last ten years! Measures 5-5/8" high by 2-1/4" wide at top by 1-3/4" diameter at base. Weighs 93.7 grams total. Marked at bottom as shown, "Michelsen Copenhagen Sterling Denmark" and "SS" for Soren Sass design. Excellent vintage condition.

A huge vintage 1970s handmade patinated bronze modernist 'Isotta Frascini' design ring from the Flame Bronze series by Björn Weckström for Lapponia Oy in Finland. Björn Weckström is one of the most innovative original and famous Finnish jewelry designers of the second half of the 20th century. His Flame Bronze series from the 1970s was inspired by the automobile industry in the US and Europe. This ring design is named after the Italian automotive company whose cars have been entered in international racing tournaments since 1905, and still make racing cars to this day! One of the largest of the Flame Bronze rings, this ring measures 1.75" long by 1.5" wide at top, and rises almost 1" above the finger. Adjustable band is presently a size 6, but can be adjusted up and down several sizes if needed. Really a little sculpture to be worn on the finger, this ring is a true piece of abstract wearable modern art! Marked inside the band as shown, "Lapponia Bjorn Finland". I also have the 'Daytona' pendant necklace from the same estate that matches this ring very well, and can be purchased separately here in my Ruby Lane shop. Excellent vintage condition.
