When #DarylBraithwaite emerged in 1988 with his solo album EDGE, for someone my age (born 1974) it was like he was a young new artist releasing his first album.
Because "back then" I had never heard of SHERBET, his Aussie glam rock 1970s band.
This is a great song off EDGE.

#DarylBraithwaite went MIA for years between his mediocre tenure as lead singer with Australian 70s glam pop band SHERBET & his triumphant sudden rise to commercial fame with his solo album EDGE in 1988.
AS THE DAYS GO BY is a classic big chorused "metal tinged" song off it.

On his first solo "comeback" album in 1988 #DarylBraithwaite very courageously covered what would have to be one of the most challenging progressive rock songs to cover, with its weird time signatures and tempo.
