Our Science Tent in the City Center of Erlangen. There are many interested people.

Our event for the #DayofLight is in full swing! In the middle of Erlangen, our scientists will be giving exciting short talks on topics related to #quantumscience. Visitors can try out some of the experiments for themselves and find out what research is being carried out at #MPL.

What we see glowing in our fusion experiments is just the cooler edge of the plasma with "only" 100,000 degrees Celsius. For a fusion reaction, we need more than 100 million degrees – hotter than the Sun. The radiation emitted in that inner plasma zone is invisible to the human eye. #dayoflight
