Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 24/05/25 Okay. So I still haven't finished sorting through my Norway pictures so this week I am bringing to you a collection of baby photos. Baby birds that is. Last time I took a decent walk along the canal the swans were nesting and there were only a couple of baby moorhens around. No ducklings at all. What a difference a month makes as the canal was awash with new life today.

Last Orders by Denzil Meyrick Today is a bit of a sad moment as I share my thoughts on the final DCI Daley book from Denzil Meyrick which is out tomorrow. I was so saddened to hear of Denzil's passing earlier this year but this seems to be a very fitting way to say goodbye to both a treasured writer and his most beloved characters. My thanks to publisher Transworld for the early review cop.

What I didn't mention, was that it was swiftly followed by a week cruising the Norwegian Fjords. (Got to think about the home insurance and all that). It is (was) a bit of a bucket list trip for me.

Weather here has been stupendous, although arguably a little to far on the wrong side of warm for my liking. Still, better than the alternative, although I'm sure the farmers will be wishing for a decent few raindrops sometime soon enough. I made the most of the lovely weather and went for a walk every day, but tried not to linger, so pictures were a little scarce.

Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 23/03/25 And here we are at the start of another week. The last full week in March. On the countdown to the clock changing again, and, better new for me, a succession of short working weeks. Training most of this week, but I'm off Friday afternoon and then not back in the office until Tuesday. Bargain. In fact, for one reason or another (plus all the Bank Holidays over April and May) I don't think I work another full week for about seven weeks.
