Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 07/12/2025 And another week passes us by. Seven days closer to Christmas. Seven more days of reading and not writing reviews - do not ask how many I have to catch up on now. I am trying not to think about it. Decisions have been (sort of) made, and I am still not sure how I feel about it. But the big thing this week is that #Bookvent is well and truly underway and my first eight books have, as of this morning, been revealed!

Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 28/09/25 Well that is it, I guess. We may as well kiss September goodbye. It's near as not over and done with, and as I am on a training course for the next three days (lucky me) I will do nothing of particular note in the coming days. I still have time to complete another book though, so I'm not writing off my reading month just yet, but definitely nowhere near 20 books this time around.

If I was a philosophical person, I might take time to reminisce and think of all that has happened in those first six months - change of job, trip to Norway, trip to see the Puffins, read lots of books - but I am as philosophical person with a very short attention span, so that's as far as I am going to go with that one.

Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 08/06/25 Well, I don't mind admitting that last week feels like it was more like last fortnight. But I survived. MIght not have done a lot - and that includes not having achieved a lot reading wise. But what I lacked in volume (or page count) I made up for with enjoyment, and I can't be unhappy with that. Managed a nice long walk on Sunday, caught up on my reviews, and am rounding the final corner of my June review reading list.

Rewind Recap: Weekly Update W/E 24/05/25 Okay. So I still haven't finished sorting through my Norway pictures so this week I am bringing to you a collection of baby photos. Baby birds that is. Last time I took a decent walk along the canal the swans were nesting and there were only a couple of baby moorhens around. No ducklings at all. What a difference a month makes as the canal was awash with new life today.

I have many reasons for wanting to see the back of this month, and a rather big one for wanting it to last as long as possible. But time never stands still and onward we march towards the month they call February. Can't even say that there is much to enjoy there to be honest as Easter is really late this year so even Pancake Day doesn't put in appearance until March!
