[Panel 2] “If my aunt found out we wanted to bring back even a piece of our legacy, I worry she’d try to twist it into a profit. I don’t want my family’s history to get turned into a theme park.” From this angle of her side, Bernadette’s tree has an almost solemn expression, as if she was approving of her daughter. [Panel 3] Akko observes the tree, wind whistling in her ears. “No kidding…” she says, witness to the very presence of her family history. Understanding the headspace Diana was in, her hesitation makes sense. [Panel 4] She nods in resolution, ready to help her friend no matter what.

[Panel 5] She grabs Diana’s hands in a show of confidence, and while Diana blushes once again in surprise, Akko stays unfazed as she excitedly declares “Well, we can think of a way to still work on it without her finding out. We managed to restore a Word, and, eh… mostly stopped her from interfering with the ritual WHILE she knew what we were doing. I bet we can find a way to work on this !”

[Panel 6] Diana is charmed once again by her partner’s motivation. “Very well, let’s do it.” she agrees to whatever slither of an idea Akko has. “やった (Ya-t-ta [Yes !])” she yells as she jumps for joy, raising her fist in the air, in victory. [Panel 7] “So, shall we eat these pastries ?” Diana offers as she already got the sweets in hand. “Finally !” Akko obviously validates eating the rather well-earned snack. [Panel 8] “To good fortune !” They cheer, in celebration of their future work to come as they both “toast” the pastries.
