Longtime #Dinkytown shop owner Greg Ketter is the 70yo you may have seen in a TV interview speaking his mind and walking away into a gas cloud. The September 1985 Southeast (Minneapolis) neighborhood newspaper noted his shop's move from above Gray's Drug to a street level entrance around the corner.

I don't want to be that "Things were better back in my day" guy, but there is only one non sterile/corporate-feeling coffee shop left that I could find in #DinkyTown and #StadiumVillage. There used to be so many great coffee shops around #UMN I miss ERC, but Bordertown Coffee has a nice atmosphere.

So there was a rash of armed robberies in #Dinkytown this weekend. Then another one last night. MPD is able to park multiple squad cars on Nicollet Mall doing absolutely nothing. Why can't they do the same in Dinkytown? FFS there is supposed to be a "Safety Center" there. Where are the cops?
