Despite all of its technology, Disney Tales of Magic left me cold and feeling like I didn't need to see it again. 🤷🏻♂️
The crowds on Main Street were hard to bear. We were pushed and shoved throughout the show, which massively detracted from it. 😞

Searchlights converge on the highest spire of the castle, and then fan out in perfect, mathematical symmetry. It really felt like the entire sky was expanding. A total wow! 😮

One of the coolest lighting effects in Disney Tales of Magic comes right before "He Lives in You". 🦁
Rafiki's glowing fireflies (which are projected) float up the castle, but then seamlessly transition into drones. It's real Disney magic! ✨😍✨

The Toy Story scene, with its strobing green and white lasers, was absolutely dazzling! 😍
And the moment when Emperor Zurg appeared in the sky, was hugely impressive. It's great to see drones being used to create identifiable Disney characters. 👍

In Disney Tales of Magic, familiar songs ("Reflection", "Out There" and "Go the Distance") are mixed together into new hybrid versions. 🎵
While I appreciated the creativity, to my ears it sounded kind of messy. Sometimes less is more. 🙉

At 10:40pm, Disney Tales of Magic began. We had a central view on Main Street, stood next to Casey's Corner.
I wasn't exactly a fan of the song "Live in Magic" when I first heard it. But in person, I found it quite powerful and soaring. 🎵🥰
