Transplanted ❤️s aren’t connected to the central nervous system so when exertion increases the ❤️ doesn’t know to beat faster & relies on adrenaline, which can take 8-12 minutes.
Today I tried something new & shaved 6 secs off my time!

No one on my board, my tissue has been delivered to Seattle, I have some downtime to recover. The life of an eye recovery tech!

I plan to donate my organs, and then my body. I won’t be using it when I’m dead so why not let it go to good use?
I’m also on the bone marrow donor registry. One of the med students in my class died from leukemia because they couldn’t find a bone marrow transplant donor match.
