Until last week, National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines reported that CHEK2 pathogenic variants (or risk-increasing genetic changes) are associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer. A recent update to NCCN guidelines now reports NO increased risk of colorectal cancer for carriers of a CHEK2 pathogenic variant. CHEK2-associated breast cancer risks have not changed with this update
