Wool has been added to a drum carder to make a batt, starting with a cream base and then layers of different browns with blue and some dark purple striping added on top.
Having a blast learning how to use my new drum carder. 😊 This is my second batt in progress and it was a huge improvement over the first one. The cream base was much more consistent and solid and I’m getting the hang of adding bits of color.

Three freshly carded sparkly batts are laid out. The left one is mostly a mix of purple, blue, and green, the middle one is mostly a mix of pink, yellow, and orange, and the right one is mostly a mix of grey, black, and pink.
The batts from the previous photo are now made into twenty four little fluffy batt sliver nests.
Managed three batts before my pelvis started flipping out*… 🥳 These fluffy nests are all destined for the Fibre Party Bags 🧶😻
