This Dryosaurus altus has a speculative coat of soft protruding scales, a heavy beak inspired off Hadrosaur remains, and a fleshy, bulbous structure on the face. She is an adult member of the species. There are dead trees in the background and wispy clouds.

Though extremely rudimentary in both shading and background I feel like I took a good step in my artistic development. Hopefully I can continue to do both in the future and get much, much better.

Fun fact: This smaller (some might say pet-sized) bipedal iguanadont had a horned beak and cheek teeth--implying it had fleshy cheeks to chew food like many modern herbivores.

Fossilized dinosaur toe bone of a Dryosaurus.

A dinosaur phalange of a Dryosaurus sp. from the Morrison Formation in the Bone Cabin Quarry in Albany County, Wyoming, USA. These basal iguanodontians were one of the smaller species found in this famous Upper Jurassic deposit.
