rest of the hat. This is the second strand (larger ball), and this is the first one I started with (smaller ball). So, now that I have recorded this and posted it, I can go knit decreases.

I plan to knit four inches so the brim is a solid brown, then continue the ribbing in helical knitting with the opposite end of the second strand. That's the blue end of the yarn on the winder at the back of these photos.
