The shawl pinned out. Approximately 2 m by 1 m. Now to let it dry. Then it gets wrapped up as a birthday present for my SIL.
I have 9 colours of that yarn. So I will knit something for myself with the rest, an Adult Surprise Jacket. Should be fun.

Bain is a gorgeous scarf with celtic style cables on both sides of the fabric, shown here with a little over a foot of knitting completed in green. After adding a few rows each spring, I have decided to repurpose the yarn for the blanket underneath. The rhythm was not for me at this time, though it is a brilliant design.

I haven't had the heart to rip out the scarf in the foreground, so I simply broke the yarn and began adding to the blanket. I should have enough of this green to fill in eight dominoes between the petals already worked in darker shades of green. Shown in the foreground is the intricate green scarf. Behind is the Domino Star Stashbuster Afghan with eight dark points completed and a new green one in progress between two dark petals.

A star-shaped afghan made of radiating rings of elongated diamonds moves from orange to yellow to green with light grey accents. A medium green petal is being added to the star near the top of the photo, and next to it a corner of the previously mentioned scarf simulates a second petal in the new color.

A hand-knit triangular shawl draped over a dress form against a bright yellow wall. A wide, crescent-shaped hand-knit shawl stretched across a dress form. The shawl is worked in soft gray with thin blue stripes and airy lace sections that create a repeating pattern across the fabric. The design is the “Modified Butterfly Knit Shawl” by Michele Costa. It uses yarn from 29 Bridges Studio on the Merino DK base in the Bateau (blue) colorway, paired with Into the Whirled on the Dresden DK base in the Stark (gray) colorway.

Two projects I finished in the past two weeks. Both patters offer enough interest to be engaging without brain drain.

Catalina Shawl by Lana Jois in 28/2 cashmere . The first three of seven base repeats. Very nice yarn and very soft, squishy hand in the raw fabric. But all those p1tbl in the twisted rib drive me mad!

I started the crown but thought "nope" and frogged back to the first stripe. Reknit in narrower, neater stripes, I'm much happier with the result. It's my latest ribbed cap for #ScrapAlong2026, knit from four colorways of leftover fingering weight yarn.
