They are in good company with the then rarely right #EHRCChair #Falkner encouraging stakeholders like employers & businesses to plunge headlong into apartheid actions against trans people & by default both carry the can for discrimination & court test application of the toxic #SupremeCourt ruling.
Lord Reed on his Supreme Court role in the For Women Scotland appeal on all women shortlists including trans women as determined originally the Scottish Court of Session. In October 2024 for The Times on Saturday interview, expected their ruling imminently. In reality it overran into 16th April 2025. The Times article would have readers believe they ruled in hallowed halls without outside influence but omitted all the EHRC input they boasted of subsequently and said nothing of his religious background nor his involvement in seemingly lamenting the influence of the European Court of Human Rights underpinning this spotlighting homosexuality and past opprobrium it drew. October 2000 he said: ''We may have to become more broad minded towards ways of living which are atypical, non-traditional and even considered morally objectionable by many in our society." https://archive.ph/nr7KI
Herald October 7th 2000 Lord Reed on the European Court of Human Rights impact. Slightly abridged text limits. Since April last year, the Scottish Parliament and Executive have been subject to the European Convention on Human Rights. It guarantees such as the right to a fair trial, freedom of expression, respect for private and family life and freedom of thought, conscience and religion. Lord Reed said it would be hard to overestimate the legal significance of making the convention binding on our own legal system, which until now had provided no entrenched constitutional guarantee of human rights. In a number of cases which had gone against Britain in Strasbourg, UK law and public opinion had been out of step with the rest of Europe. ''Scottish public opinion strongly supported corporal punishment in schools when that was held by Strasbourg to be unlawful. Public opinion in the Isle of Man strongly supported the birch when that was held to be unlawful in Strasbourg. ''Northern Irish public opinion strongly supported the unlawfulness of homosexual acts when that was held to be a violation of the convention. ''Time having passed and attitudes having to some extent changed, I am not sure that the general public would now want to go back to a situation in which corporal punishment was lawful and homosexuality illegal. ''The Human Rights Act will require the courts to give effect to a convention which expresses the value of a tolerant and inclusive society, a society more tolerant and inclusive than our own may currently be. ''We may have to become more broad minded towards ways of living which are atypical, non-traditional and even considered morally objectionable by many in our society. ''We should not be afraid of such change. A democratically elected Parliament has committed us to making Scotland a more tolerant and inclusive society. ''If we approach the task with commitment and co-operation we will achieve that objective,'' he said.
They had important contributions to make. #EHRCChair boasts of influencing #SupremeCourt brought anti trans prejudice 'opinion' into mix. She went on a media rampage having delivered what she'd suggested to Badenoch the year prior. The judge here thought it a doddle. He struggled in 2000 with #ECHR
There wasn't any operational confusion until #SupremeCourt heavily influenced by the #EHRCChair #Falkner introduced it following much lies told around EA2010 forcing orgs to consider potentially prejudicial decisions and document justifying it's a "proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim"
"As Britain's independent equality regulator, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) intervened in this appeal to assist the Court in assessing the legal and practical implications of the case".
Thanks. #EHRCChair is exceptionally proud the EHRC were directly involved in advising #SupremeCourt on their ruling on the re-interpretation of the what the framers of the original legislation meant by sex. SC blocked anyone connected to original design. The EHRC letter pre illustrates their pitch.
Sorry, sorry!
He's doing an impression of our UK #EHRCChair "delivering for the British people"
Full on #TransApartheid and the behaviour every trans person must learn to live with under #FascismUK

God luv em, The #SupremesCourt
We heard it through the grapevine.
Sadly #ShirleyAnneSommerville confirmed Scottish #GRAReform Bill is dead & buried. Westminster Rule, the entire UK is an outlier country. #EHRCChair will meet Scottish Government next week to outline the Apartheid plans for trans humiliation and exclusion. Wouldn't be surprised if Scotland to lead.
Employers should at all costs avoid hypotheticals written by Transphobes - it's one of a number of reasons the #EHRC & in particular the #EHRCChair are regarded as untrustworthy and their "Informal" anti trans 'refreshed' guidance on the Equality Act is largely given a wide berth in a sane world.
