We hope that this structure will prove useful in efforts to engineer the vault for drug delivery purposes. 🥰

I think it is also cool that these data have been available on #EMPIAR at @ebi.embl.org since 2021, so anyone could have done this work. #OpenScience!

Another excellent talk highlighting how the #emdb, #EMPIAR and broader team @ebi.embl.org is making some great improvements around data management especially how it can be accessed in more machine friendly ways. Loving the focus on simplicity which seems to be a key driver. #CCPEMSpringSymposium25

Alright, two #EMPIAR datasets deposited, one for immediate release, one for release upon publication. Hope someone will find them entertaining. 😉

Uploading old movies to #EMPIAR makes me re-live the trauma of collecting them. The focus that went off on the best grid at night. Building systems that broke down, leading to loss of precious collection time. All the microscope hick-ups. Grid-making difficulties. Oh my. #CryoEM

Impressively, the VSD2 S4 helix appears to translates by about 10 Å between the two states we observed with #CryoEM and #cisTEM. Our deactivated state has about 20% of particles, but we will upload the raw data to #EMPIAR so others can try to milk more out of it!
