Country Overshoot Day 2026. Die Liste gibt an, an welchem Datum alle Ressourcen aufgebraucht wären, wenn die ganze Welt wie das genennte Land leben würde. Am sparsamsten ist Hunduras mit 27. November, am verschwenderischten ist Qatar 4. Februar, gefolgt von Luxemburg, 17. Februar, danach Singapur, Kuweit Anfang März usw. Würde die ganze Welt so leben wie Österreich, wären schon heute am 2. April alle Ressourcen für das Jahr aufgebraucht. Wir sind damit auf Platz 16. Bei den viel gescholtenen Chinesen btw. erst am 22. Mai. auf Platz 39.

Heute ist österreichischer #EarthOvershootDay. Das bedeutet: Mit 2. April hat Österreich seine nachhaltigen Ressourcen aufgebraucht und lebt für den Rest des Jahres auf Pump. 👇
Donutdiagramm zum Ressourcenverbrauch Österreichs (in Megatonnen pro Jahr). Größter Anteil sind mineralische Baustoffe mit 83 Mt (knapp zwei Drittel).
