You may want to check out this document from @NCTM. It speaks about the need for a proactive assets-based approach. Scaffolding “just in time learning” so students are ready for upcoming lessons. Some may call it “Accelerated Learning”.

A5 I would identify groups with the same number of items and do a n(c) for each to those and then have n(c) + n(c) and then maybe do c+c+c. I tend to put things in groups of ten too. so I might mix up groups and then look for groups of 5 #EleMathChat
