Then the sentence lengthens—waves drafting their own syntax across the bay, commas of kelp, ellipses of spray. Lochs hold sky like a secret, their surfaces inked with wind, rewriting themselves with every breath. Burns thread the moor in cursive, silver lines that speak of rain and memory.
