Year 4/3 explored the thoughts and feelings of different characters from

Year 3 kicked off our new unit on emotive letters by putting ourselves in the shoes of WW1 soldiers 🪖. We watched videos, hid in “trenches” listening out for the sounds of the battlefield and used a range of other sources to complete research into daily life on the front line. #EnglishatWelbeck

Inspired by their electricity topic, Year 3 orally retold a story called ‘Blackout’. We made sure to project our voices loud, clear and with expression, while adding extra detail using powerful adjectives and adverbs we gathered together as a class.
