Our Year 5s have thoroughly enjoyed their final evening in Oulu, Finland. They watched some of the Winter-Swimming World Championships, walked around the ‘Big Island’ with views of the frozen sea, and built a snowman before enjoying a treats night! #50ThingsatWelbeck #ScienceatWelbeck @ecsa.ngo

Year 6 received some exciting post this week… letters ✉️ from our pen pals in Nafferton, East Yorkshire. It was so lovely to hear from them after their visit to Welbeck last summer. #50ThingsatWelbeck #EnglishatWelbeck

We found a ridge on the broken road and sat to appreciate the views, look up at the top of Mam Tor and pull some lovely photo faces. #50ThingsatWelbeck #GeogatWelbeck
The rain left some squelchy puddles blocking our path. Most of us jumped them successfully, apart from Connor who cleared it, then slid and landed flat on his back. Thank goodness for his full length waterproofs!! #50ThingsatWelbeck
We made it to the highest point of Mam Tor in record time! It was a very windy ascent so we took a picture, soaked in the views, and made our way down for some lunch. #50ThingsatWelbeck
A very wet start to our Mam Tor walk today, and a very steep route to get us to the top. Staff were incredibly impressed with the resilience and perseverance shown by all of the pupils. #50ThingsatWelbeck
Breakfast this morning was a real treat! Cooked breakfast, toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and pastries! We filled our tummies ready for a long walk today. Lots of happy, if sleepy, faces. The rain is holding off currently and conditions look good! #50ThingsatWelbeck
Year 6 have found out who they are sharing rooms with and have moved in for the next two nights. Rooms are looking tidy and organised, and staff were in for a treat with some of the welcome performances! Lots of points for teams being earned! #50ThingsatWelbeck
Our shelters were incredibly homely, even factoring in practicalities like a fire place, wood storage and a washing line! #50ThingsatWelbeck
Our happy (slightly damp) campers group ‘The Archers’ have taken part in archery. They displayed some excellent talent, great aim, and kept a keen eye on the bullseye. #50ThingsatWelbeck
Year 6 channelling their inner engineers today 🪵⛺️ From tarps to teamwork, the dens are standing strong (…mostly 👀).
