To kick off their ‘World of Chocolate’ topic, Year 3 have been locating countries where chocolate comes from on a world map. We used atlases and globes to help develop our locational knowledge. Year 3 are now ‘Climate Champions’! In our final session with Green Meadows, we learned about the effect of food waste and how to take step to reduce it. We put this into practise by mixing ingredients that would’ve otherwise gone to waste to make banana bread. 🍌 🍞 #GeographyatWelbeck #DTatWelbeck

Y3K are learning to be Climate Champions! We learned about and acted out the greenhouse effect. Then we explored its impact on the climate with a scavenger hunt to find how different gases can be both heroes 🦸‍♀️ and villains 🦹. Thank you Alice from Green Meadows!

Year 3 used atlases and globes 🌍 to locate countries involved in World War 1 🪖 including the Central Powers, Allies and British Empire during the 1900s. We also learned how each country contributed to the war effort.

Year 3 enjoyed a lovely trip to the River Trent this afternoon! We followed a route we planned last week using our mapping skills. When we got there, we did a scavenger hunt for the features of a river we’ve learned about. We were lucky enough to see boats of all sizes pass by! 🛶
