Photo of the Bridge Inn pub under refurbishment. It is white with black window trim, and a first floor section bay window section hanging over the entrance door on the High Street/Bridge Street intersection. The words 'Hosted the last King of France 1848' has been lettered onto the side. That section used to be the ballroom, but it is now someone's flat.

Finally able to go to the newly refurbished Bridge Inn pub. It has a rich 400 year history, & I hoped it had ambiance for evening historical talks. Reader, its soul was ripped out. It even had fake generic marine art. It has 'corporate pub décor'. Shame on Harvey's Brewery. 😬 #EnglishPubs
