2/ "The River Has Roots" has sort of a "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell" meets Jasper Fforde feel to it. It's definitely more novella than novel (so less JS&MN) but a fine read. The sample from #AmalEl-Mohtar's next book is excellent too.
