Etsy has been removing alligator Alcatraz listings for a solid week now. But it takes time.

Etsy is doing some great things, including trying to get to net zero carbon emissions by 2030. They scored 100% on the disability equality index. And 100% Dem on Goods Unite Us

People basically aren't happy because the removal of harmful stuff wasn't instant. Because it CAN'T be instant.

"spreading the message to boycott Etsy only punishes the people who are on our side and the people who need those sales the most to support themselves and their families"

Lots of #Etsy misinformation & disinformation going on right now. Here's a very helpful post from a creator #JustAddJewelry

Etsy is not the problem. The other shop hosts are the problem.

Have you contacted Etsy yet? Here’s their investor relations number: 718-880-3660 . Says it won’t be processed. But they will “process” receiving a few hundred angry calls a day. Boycott until they pull the hate merch. Sell your goods elsewhere. TY!!!

It’s come to my attention that the selling platform Etsy is allowing sellers to market teeshirts celebrating “Alligator Alcatraz”. Until such time as these items are removed from the platform, I have ceased trading with them and closed my shop.

My biggest issue with the blanket #EtsyBoycott is the lack of commitment to where shoppers will instead take their business.

Ebay and Shopify were mentioned in a post earlier. Both of which have AA merch also.

This will continue to be a stain on platforms meant to allow for individual shops.
