Today's #SlavonianGrebe S of Cockwood Steps on Devon's #ExeEstuary. A difficult bird to video due to its distance and frequent diving in blustery conditions. Just my 2nd in Devon this year 😉. Thanks again to Lee C & @robmurphy.bsky.social. #DevonBirds #UKBirding @warrenbirding.bsky.social

Out along the river at dusk.

Rewarded with a close view of a Grey Seal and 26 Common Sandpipers, an exceptional count.

🌫 Misty Mornings on the Exe 🌫

A cold start to the day gave us this beautiful blanket of mist drifting across the Exe Estuary — one of nature’s calmest shows. But why does it happen?

Exe Estuary - Exmouth to Exeter
Exe Estuary - Exmouth to Exeter YouTube video by WillCycle-com

My Exmouth to Exeter video of #cycling the #ExeEstuary route is now out.
There's no drone footage at all, as it was far too windy a day for my little drone. As ever, I'd appreciate constructive criticism.

Finally done with my #ExeEstuary video (at least, Dawlish to Exeter). I need to get better working with audio, but I'm happy with this as it is. Your thoughts would be most welcome.

#Exeter roadies, if you feel the need to show off your fantastic athletic skills and supreme speeds on the #ExeEstuary trail, full of leisure cyclists, kids, walkers and dogs, then you're a deeply insecure dipshit.

A large black bird (rear viwe, facing slightly to the right) feeds on the grey coloured mudflats of the Exe Estuary, Devon, UK. The rook feeds by pulling a worm out of the mud, eats it, and then hops a short distance away where it takes the next worm. The rook is mid-jump - feet off the ground, wings outspread, staring intently downwards, focused on it's next snack.
