Sweet Georgie was left to die on winter ground, dreadfully injured 💔 Such cruelty is hard to comprehend ☹️ But look at her now 🥰 Care & kindness has transformed her into a trusting, contented sheep, living her best life 🤗🐑

Our funny, feisty lass is named after a character in the UK TV series #ThisCountry! She's a force of nature for sure 🤪💪 But she's ALSO a secret snuggle-bug who loves an #EarScritch or a #SnoutRub & time with human pals 🤗🐑

DAY 21 #ShamosSheep
It's a little known fact that #AmosSheep has a twin 😲 Shamos is quite different to his brother – quieter & less gregarious – but equally adorable of course 💖 (Just LOOK at that sweet face 🤗!) These chocolatey lads bring SO much joy to our sanctuary 🐏🍫🥰

DAY 20 #TobyPig
Toby has one of the most poignant of our animals' back stories 💔 As a piglet, a kind human rescued him from a group of boys who were throwing him around like a football 😢 But he's now loved & respected+++ 🥰 Safe forever, noone will EVER abuse him again 🐗🤗

DAY 19 #TheBachelorBoys
These sweet lads were found in distressingly neglectful circumstances earlier this year 😢 We were so glad to be able to offer them a forever home 🙏 Our resourceful team set to & within days had built them their v own #MenShed/#BachelorPad 👷🏠🐓🤗!

DAY 18 #MerrickSheep
Visitors often gravitate towards this handsome lad because of his sweet, friendly nature 🤗 When he arrived in 2019 he was a timid sheep 😟 But love & kindness works wonders & he's now a confident, outgoing boy who adores cuddles, #scritches & praise 🥰🐏

DAY 17 #PeggySheep
Our Peggy is beautiful in looks AND in temperament 🐑💖 Born with neurological problems, she came to us as a tiny, vulnerable lamb & was cared for night & day by Carole, who she still loves as a mother 🤗 Today she's a happy, healthy sheep, adored by all 🥰

DAY 16 #SnowySheep
This sweet boy had a terrifying start in life. He was left for dead in a snowy field, found – thank goodness 🙏 – by a kind FARS supporter & brought to us as a v poorly lamb 😢 Today, he's a healthy, friendly, curious sheep, past trauma long forgotten 🐑🤗

Neville came to us with injuries from a dog attack. But, like so many at FARS, this brave lad has put trauma & pain in the past, & is now a happy, friendly sheep 🐏🥰 (Ironically, the dog attack saved his life as of crs he was destined for slaughter 💔)

Found as a tiny piglet wandering in the middle of the road (a survivor of factory farming we believe 💔) we were so glad to give this special lad a safe, happy home 🥰🐖 He's now the size of a small car🚗 & loves #napping #snackies & his cosy house 🍏🍪💤🐷🏠

Cloud is a quiet, slightly shy lass, less comfortable around humans than many of our guys. But a #RichTeaBiscuit usually brings her pottering over 🍪🐑! And however she wants & needs to live & relate is fine by us, of crs, & she's loved & respected+++ 🤗💖

This quirky guy is named after a rock-jumping ungulate 🦌😃 He used to jump the fence into the side field if we didn't open the gate quick enoughl! This handsome darling is calm & gentle, & loves fuss & #snackies 🪞🍪🐏🥰

DAY 8 #LollipopChicken
Little Lollipop is having her v first Christmas at FARS! 🎅🐔🤗 She's settled right in with the other hens but always chooses to bed down in this cosy area rather than perch on the henhouse with some of the other ladies! 🏠❤️

Honey is unrecognisable these days as the poorly, disabled lamb whose future was so uncertain when she arrived at FARS in '22. Now she's a robust, confident sheep with everything to live for, who knows that oppression & harshness lie firmly in the past 💖

DAY 6 #WilmaPig
Wilma was rejected by her biological mum & rescued by a kind family 🤗 She came to us in 2016 as a piglet, along with a collection of soft toys 🧸🥰 She's a VERY expressive pig & lets us know EXACTLY what she's thinking & feeling! 👑🐷

Hercules is an Ouessant ram, the world’s smallest breed of sheep 🥰 A feisty lad when he first arrived in 2017, his true personality – friendly & sweet-natured – soon shone through once he realised he was "home" & safe forever 🤗

Little Amos needs no introduction! He's one of our best known residents on account of being, in many ways, more dog than sheep 🐏🐶! He loves to accompany the FARS humans as they go about their work & is almost always at our side 🤗 He is BEYOND adorable 💖

DAY 3 #JohnnySheep
Johnny was brought to FARS by a farmer after breaking his leg. His leg couldn't be saved despite Carole’s best efforts 😔 But this doesn't worry him a jot &, in her care, our courageous lad has grown into a happy, confident sheep who loves life 🐏🥰

DAY 2 #JoeySheep
Sweet Joey was saved from slaughter by compassionate people who clubbed together to buy him from a farmer ❤️🙏 For the first 6 months this terrified lad never left Carole’s side 🤗 He still loves human contact & comes running when we call his name 🥰

Penny is an utterly gentle, sweet-natured pig 🐷 She just quietly goes about her business – loving her fruit & veg #snackies, & always up for a head scritch or a kind word from carers 🍏🍌🤗 She's a peace-loving, contented girl+++💖
