Like Babylon, they boast, “I will gather nations, I will rule them, I will make them mine.” Whether by war, wealth, or false religion, they chase domination while claiming divine purpose. We see this spirit again when men dream of empires — when rulers like Trump speak of “gathering nations” or claiming lands like Greenland as trophies. It is the same hunger Habakkuk warned of — a desire to play god. But God says, “The person who is godly will live by faith.” Not by conquest. Not by greed. Not by pride.
