A small, native to the PNW plant with dark stems and four petaled flowers that are pale pink in the center and outline of each petal, and neon pink in the center of each petal.

Someone somewhere needs flowers, so here ya go! These are called "farewell to spring" and I grew them myself.

By June when most #CaliforniaWildflowers have run their course, this one shows up: #FarewelltoSpring, appropriately named as it is here to usher in #Summer. It is a beautiful 4-petal pinkish species of #Clarkia native to our #SantaClaraValley .

The most poetically named Clarkia amoena, “Farewell to Spring” blooming as it does annually in green then drying grass, from British Columbia to just south of San Francisco.
