O. M. G. Back in the day, like 30+ years ago, #StarTrekTNG had an open submission policy, and I submitted a spec script revolving around #FederationDay -- an idea that I'm pretty sure had not been mentioned before -- and featuring a journalist visiting the Enterprise D. /1

Proclamation Day (17th Sept) as #AustraliaDay might just be the solution. Conservatives could even get aboard as royalty is involved. The logical day, #FederationDay, is unfortunately on #NewYearsDay. Nah. 26th January is NSW Day/Invasion Day. #KokodaDay (3 Nov)? Should be a public holiday already.

As some in #Australia gear up to hold barbecues on the 26th January we were prompted to consider ways to tell the truth about what the day really is. We think it is better understood as #PenalColonyDay … #AustraliaDay is actually 01/01/1901 = #FederationDay
