Her other dramas are a bit mixed in terms of quality - I personally loved her in the business drama #FightingYouth, but not everyone liked it (though I did! - & her husband - who she met when he played the bad prince in #Yanxi - plays her onscreen boyfriend)

The actress who plays the Huo daughter, Zhang Nan, was in #FightingYouth - a business themed drama starring Wu Jinyan (the FL from #TheDouble among others). In that drama Zhang Nan’s character is a scheming rival who doesn’t play fair, but who eventually comes good.

The actor is Peter Ho btw, who has been in some really good dramas - I remember him from #FightingYouth & #NothingGoldCanStay - but he’s also had lots of more recent support roles such as in #EverlastingLonging
He can play evil characters very well too - he’s the evil king in #UnchainedLove

Again, this may be true of many Chinese office dramas, but it is also true of many Korean dramas where getting a rich husband is the whole plot
If I think of the Chinese office or business dramas I’ve watched - such as #RidingwiththeWind, #FightingYouth #TheRationalLife etc - they do not

It’s still funny to me that the real life Wei Yingluo ended up marrying bad-boy prince Hongzhou from #StoryofYanxiPalace! Yanxi Palace didn’t pair them together, but at least Wu Jinyan & Hong Yao enjoyed a romantic CP in #FightingYouth. Congratulations to them on becoming parents 👏

I dropped this show around 14 eps in because it was dull. A much better #WuJinyan business & romance drama is #FightingYouth, where she plays an apprentice to a smart/tough boss played by #YinTao. #WuJinyan’s love interest is her present husband, #HongYao, so it’s much more tolerable on that score!

With HEs 😂 - yes! I couldn’t finish Kill Me Love Me! Apart from Yanxi her other dramas aren’t great, but if you want to watch Wu Jinyan in a completely modern setting, I recommend her business drama from a few years back #FightingYouth. It has a HE, and her real life partner plays her love interest.
