Wax sculpture of a Male nude dancer on pointe by Isobel Starling
I'm working on a new dancer sculpture in wax that will eventually be bronze. He's going to be balanced on pointe & I'm past the phase of using support. My eyes keep telling me one leg is longer than the other even though I've measured them. 🤓 #FigurativeSculpture #MaleNude #artistsofbluesky #ballet

Wax male nude figurative life sculpture by Isobel Starling
Finally finished my #figurativesculpture in wax. He'll be cast using the 'lost wax' process - he'll be dipped in refactory plaster to build a shell, then put in a kiln and the wax will melt out. Molten bronze will then get poured in. It's a one-chance only process... a bit scary! 😬 #malenude #art
