Page nine. The borders of each panel have become rigid & boxy, barely any slant to them whatsoever. Valentia's outlines disappear & she stares ahead without seeing. Her hue becomes yellow, long after it was called. Breaks in the panels reveal a strange scene playing out as she spaces out. "That power does not belong to you. Return it- NOW!" exclaims a towering figure in the foreground, looming over the phoenix from before as it hunches down like a wild animal on their wings, stalking around the larger figure. It opens it's mouth to speak, but the panels break & pull away. The words "Make me" are implied to be what the phoenix says. Valentia is once-again alerted out of her daze by the sound of a voice. Several voices, coming from the direction of the sun. The world takes on a green hue yet the sky remains as ash gray as before.

Page eight. The borders surrounding each panel have become consistent & the contents of no scene escape their boundaries. Through the page, Valentia flies, harried by voices that come from all over. They are alien & strange, & she does not understand. As she flies quite a long distance over the endless fields of grass, she notices milestones in everything: a single dead tree, a knoll, a hill, a cairn, a path. Every little quality of the world becomes so significant among endless waving fields of grass. When at last she asks "Hello?" the voices stop, & the saturation leaves her as she hovers in the air, awaiting reply.
