Orca is one of those bad exploitation movies that has so much talent going for it, that it's actually good. Richard Harris plays it so straight, the morricone score is great, the orca footage is remarkable. Silliness be damned, it's still good!

A very under the radar film from DavId Twohy next, Below. What better horror/thriller setting than the confines of a submarine? By all accounts this isn't 100% successful. We'll see. Part of me just wishes Pitch Black was screening as that's a banger. Wouldn't fit the theme sadly. #ForbiddenWorlds

The more I think about it, the happier I am that we saw She Creature instead of a new film yesterday. I hope this festival never loses sight of what makes it stand out. I'm willing to accept the idea of the odd new screening but they'd have to be very carefully selected. #ForbiddenWorlds

City of Lost Children should not have taken me till I was 33. This is a perfect movie for teenage cinefiles, and it's dope as an adult too.
Pans labyrinth is so in conservation with this its crazy it's not better known.

The huge sets, the charismaless leading man, the block of wood masquerading as a love interest, 'my boat', it's all batshit. And a great time
