Crossing the pass into Death Valley, there's this long slow descent and the further down you go, the hotter it gets.
By the time you're at the valley floor, the heat is like a physical blow.

Some parts of this bridge in Yosemite date back to the 1850s.
It's really cool to walk over a wooden structure that old, and wonder at the years that it's witnessed.
