Now that the streets are in better shape and the melt has revealed #freshKermit I’m certainly preferring the snow-protected #bikenyc lanes over the parking protected!

For one: it keeps the idiots & cranks from parking in them! 😀

I struggled a bit with this post. Overall #WeHo is doing excellent bike/walk/transit. Rather than paint existing lanes, I would urge $ go to increase lane miles, upgrades to protected bike lanes, traffic calming. This #freshkermit green is a modest step in good direction.

Oakland’s West St bike lane & #FreshKermit green paint is underway, including here at 27th St where a protected intersection is going in next.

Also #FreshKermit green bike lanes on Market around 5th & 6th Streets where 2 bike riders have been killed by semi truck drivers. Also upgraded crosswalks & curb ramps.

Crosswalk & #FreshKermit green bike lane paint is in, a little more left to do then flashing beacon install after. Then, expand that little bit of protected bikeway to the rest of the street, perhaps?

Even more #FreshKermit green bike lanes striped today past the Hwy 13 & 24 freeway ramps on Tunnel Rd & Caldecott Ln, completing a 1.7-mile bike lane gap in the Oakland hills. Work continues through this & next week.
