Okay, I complain at this point in the winter about it still being winter and having to bike in it, but I do have to admit that this year has had shockingly little ice and surprisingly consistent snow texture and that makes a big difference. And yes, apparently #frostbike makes you a snow sommelier.

After 4 days of some of the most challenging winter riding in the 8 years I've been doing it, I can say unequivocally, I have no interest in gravel or mountain biking.

My winter bike got new, wider fenders installed today, along with a new chain and fresh brakes.

Hopefully this will solve the massive slush build up, slushy facials, and will or won't I stop issues I've been having. 🙃

Churchill to Holland- clear in some places, slush covered in some places, almost every intersection and driveway is squirrelly.

Armstrong is surprisingly clear! (which means lots of snirt/slush, but quite passable)

You know what? Even tho tonight's ride was on the upper end of the shitty scale, and I stopped to kick snow out the bike lane, and I had to walk the last ~500 meters, I still only added ~4 minutes to my usual time.
