Participation points are only 1 point on lecture days in my #GEO121 class (I only lecture 6x a semester) & today was the last lecture. 25 students (out of 86) missed class. That's their choice- I'm more concerned that they show up for group work days, but wow.

I also die a little inside when a student in #GEO121 tells me “I’m not very good at science.”

Today was plan-an-outdoor-event-at-your-team’s-location day in #GEO121 & almost half the teams planned a wedding this time! There was also ice fishing, dog-walking, kayak race, hike, & even winter olympics.

First two labs for my hybrid course are due Friday. Only 18 people have submitted the first one (out of 88 students!) Those who haven’t started have potentially FOUR HOURS of work ahead. #GEO121
