Tips on community at #GMWConference2019 (also #RaceB4Race & other confs):
1. Refreshing use of name tags w name only. Why ID by rank/istn? (also avoids stigma of “independent scholar”)
2. ECRs as plenaries/featured speakers
3. Centering women/queer/POCs = better for EVERYONE
Still thinking about #GMWConference2019 which was wonderful & generative in so many ways. One thing I’m taking from this: thinking carefully & deeply about our ethical obligations to *present-day* communities as much our attentiveness to the past. It’s both/and. #MedievalTwitter
Thanks @medieval_women @speaking_women @BangorUni for a generative and energizing #GMWConference2019 !!! #MedievalTwitter #GlobalMedieval

Pondering all these threads of collaboration and collective creation, displacement, and (non)(un)belonging(s) throughout #GMWConference2019
A few things making #GMWConference2019 remarkable:
1. Humility. Many disciplines, languages, etc. = learning from others, knowing limits of your knowledge, having generosity.
2. Listening (in physical and metaphorical senses). Thinking critically about what “listening” means.
Mind abuzz at #GMWConference2019. Collaboration, silences, networks, privilege/power/marginalization, comparativism, solidarity, public/ private selves (in life/scholarship), giving ourselves permission to ASK ?s, find new partners/conspirators. #MedievalTwitter #GlobalMedieval
Really enjoying #GMWConference2019 — thanks to @PilgrimTeresa especially for the live-tweeting! #MedievalTwitter
