A view of the galaxy M101 the Pinwheel galaxy.
This one was a real struggle #M101 the #PinWheel galaxy. It is only 30 minutes of luminance and 15 minutes of Red Green & Blue using my C8sct at G6.3. There was a 70% moon and I was unable to take flats. All making the processing a nightmare #AstroFail #Astrophotography #GalaxySeason
A closer cropped in view of The Leo Triplet group of galaxies in the constellation of Leo. 7 hours 35 minutes total exposure time taken with my Asi533mcPro with an Optolong L-Pro filter, through my Redcat 71 all mounted on my skywatcher EQ8

Finally got around to properly processing my #LeoTriplet data taken over a few nights at the start of April. When I culled the data I ended up with 91x5min subs #Astrophotography #GalaxySeason #Astronomy

Busy day in the Observatory!
Replaced the treads on the steps.
Swapped the filters in the Atikone for #LRGB instead of #SHO and finally got all the adapters to install the #ZWOCAA on the RedCat71. Already for #GalaxySeason now hopefully the weather will play ball. I need some #Astrophotography
Did a little smartphone astrophotography this evening. Unprocessed needle, crowbar, whale and markarian’s chain … #pixel7a #galaxyseason 😲🔭🌌
Galaxy Season - The Needle Galaxy - an edge on grand spiral type similar to the Milky Way. The dust lanes are easily seen over the bright core bulge. #galaxy #galaxySeason
With most of the nebulae targets now disappearing from our night skies, it is #galaxyseason
There are at least four galaxies visible in here - the main one being M106 (no name), around 24million light years away.
60mins #seestars50 mosaic in EQ mode, processed in #photoshop and #lightroom
There is strength in repetition. This is my latest image and probably won’t be my last, captured with a ZWO 2600mm mounted to a 6” RC. Processed in Pixinsight. #bluesky #astrophotography #astronomy #apt #pixinsight #galaxyseason #whirlpool #galaxy
Definitely getting into #GalaxySeason… a selection of some lovely sights in the spring skies, imaged from NE London early April with my 6” StellaLyra RC scope.

Markarian's Chain of galaxies in the Virgo Cluster Seestar S50 mosaic and EQ mode 883 subs x 10s Processed with GraXpert, Siril, Affinity.
Markarian's Chain, an essential for Galaxy Season. Mosaic taken with a Seestar S50. So many galaxies for such a small device.

Getting close to calling it for the season on my Rosette Mosaic project. To be continued next season. As it's Galaxy season was considering options for a project. Might do a 9 panel LRGB mosaic of Markarian's Chain.

First part of a mosaic of Markarian’s Chain a cluster of galaxies between Virgo and Leo. Our Galaxy is part of this super cluster. There’s about 8 galaxies visible in this image. And at least two supermassive black holes that well, aren’t!
Ok first bit of my attempt to image Markarian’s Chain in the ole #SeestarS50
There’s about 8 Galaxies visible in this shot. Including ngc4477 and ngc 4473
This is about 10 mins of stacked shots, basically straight off the sensor, just AI denoising applied […]

A chain of galaxies that is Markarian’s Chain arc through the blackens of space. Many more-distant galaxies can be seen in the background throughout the photo
I got just over 5h on Markarian’s Chain last night. It’s almost #galaxyseason!

Seeing this years #GalaxySeason has been such a washout, I’m going to post my best galaxy real from 2021. #Astrophotography the full version can be viewed at youtu.be/-f4vPHxTLjM?...

M81, Bode’s Galaxy. A galactic centre of older stars with more recent star formation in the arms. Central black hole of 70 million solar masses.
