The opening paragraph to an Essence of Thought script, titled: "Anti-Trans Leader Convicted of Child Abuse | RE: Nicola Murray" which reads as: "Nicola Murray, a leader of the Scottish anti-trans movement, was convicted of sexually abusing no less than four children in a trial so shocking that it took the jury less than two hours to unanimously find her guilty. The trial took place at least two years after she’d been initially arrested, during which she openly talked about the case to her social media, meaning the rest of the gender ‘critical’ movement was aware of said ongoing investigation when they chose to make Murray a key face in the For Women Scotland campaign at the Supreme Court, with Murray testifying to the supposed dangers of including trans women under the legal definition of a woman. She is someone so well known in the anti-trans movement that she has not only received thousands in donations from Let Women Speak, the group run by fellow anti-trans leader, Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, but has had personal support from government officials, including the (now former) MP, Joanna Cherry, as police began investigating Murray for potential crimes in 2022. That’s why, for as shocking as Murray’s crimes are, it isn’t shocking to see yet another gender ‘critical’ leader outed as a child predator. This is par for the course when it comes to said hate movement, something they’ve gone out of their way to empower for years, as we’ll discuss in today’s video."
