Fresh new green ferns line a moss covered old cement wall deep in the forest. Tall trees surround the frame as the ferns grow close to horizontal from the structure. There's a little spot for sitting just off to the left if you don't mind ground sitting. The sounds of birds & aroma of spring encompassed everything around and for a time nothing else mattered.

A broad view of a bunch of small yellow wildflowers called Lesser Celandine. Although there are at least 14 flowers here, each with their 8 bright petals splaying out, the photo is dominated by the abundance of their beautiful, heart-shaped green foliage. These were found on a recent walk by amb, who managed to capture several other wildflowers growing beside the same lane. Nature’s own gifts, these wildflowers are treasures indeed: each small flower’s centre full of pollen much needed by bees.~💞
