Tulip head on a stone slab. It’s been bitten off at the top of the stalk by a squirrel. Its red petals are pointed and it’s inside is yellow.
The wooden trough when I grow my beautiful tulips minus a few heads. Some red primroses to the right of them. They have yellow center. The trough stands by a Yorkshire stone wall.
The tulip as it should be looking resplendent. Its leaves beneath are slightly blurred. They are stripped green and dark red.
Only had six of these beautiful large tulips in a trough and the squirrel 🐿️ has had three of them.
Bit miffed with the greedy creature as all it does is destroy it.

We have chubby #GreySquirrels in CA. Red squirrels can be found in the northern states. Grey squirrels are larger, more adaptable, and they carry a virus that kills red squirrels, and they are displacing red squirrels. There are also brown squirrels that are commonly called red squirrels.
