Lower Latourell Falls, Guy W. Talbot State Park, Oregon, as seen from Latourell Creek. Horizontal shot: the camera perspective is from just above the level of the creek. From the top of the frame, the thin plume of Lower Latourell Falls plunges down in front of stark cliffs until it hits the plunge pool behind a set of boulders. The water then races down Latourell Creek, threading through and over another set of dark boulders about 1/3 of the way from the frame bottom. The white water from the turbulence of this mini-cascade, curves its way in three thread out of the bottom and lower side of the frames. From the upper left and right of the image, swaths of greenery curve their way down the cliffs, narrowing until they meed in a thin green line behind the plume of falling water just before it hits the plunge pool.
