He is dressed suspiciously like Chow Yun Fat's character in A Better Tomorrow, which came out in Hong Kong a year earlier. Rosewood (Reinhold) is a big action movie fan we find out in the movie. Was Tony Scott (the director) influenced by A Better Tomorrow, or just giving it an homage? 🤔

I watched The Big Heat (1988) last night on #Tubi! I've heard the title before, but not much else about it. This #movie was NOT what I expected! It is a bullet ballet/heroic bloodshed movie that is surprisingly gory and gruesome! I liked this movie A LOT!
