There are only few pictures of #HMSIntrepid. One of them, until lately widely unknown, was drawn by the Sorb Johann August #Miertsching from Upper Lusatia in Germany who served as interpreter for #Inuktitut on board of #HMSInvestigator.
What if this were #HMSIntrepid (or one of the other ships which were abandoned with the search for the lost #FranklinExpedition)? For comparison: #HMSResolute drifted only 2 years from Viscount Melville Sound into Southern Baffin Bay!
