Infographic titled “The basics of healthy diets” by the World Health Organization. It explains that healthy diets vary in foods and flavours but share four principles: adequacy, balance, moderation, and diversity. The graphic shows recommended daily energy intake: protein 10–15% from plant or animal sources; fats 15–30%, focusing on unsaturated fats from fish, avocado, nuts, and vegetable oils; carbohydrates 45–75%, from whole grains, pulses, fruits and vegetables (minimum 400 g/day), and dietary fibre (minimum 25 g/day). A note highlights that fruits and vegetables add fibre and micronutrients to your diet. It also advises limiting unhealthy fats (saturated fats <10%, trans fats <1% of daily energy intake), free sugars (<10% of daily energy intake, about 50 g or 12 teaspoons), and salt (<5 g/day, about 1 teaspoon).

#HealthyDiets have different foods & flavours, but share the same principles: adequacy, balance, moderation & diversity. Eat a variety of minimally processed & unprocessed foods to ensure you get enough essential micronutrients while reducing unhealthy fats, sugars & salt.
