Tullynally Castle is a country house and estate, (Ireland's largest private home) situated 2km from Castlepollard in County Westmeath, Ireland. The Gothic-style building has over 120 rooms and has been home to the Pakenham family for over 350 years. Lovely to visit, house tour, gardens, forests and cafe.
They originally "acquired" Tullynally lands by Cromwellian confiscation of Catholic land, specifically from the Anglo-Norman Dillon family.

Wonderful tour of Nano Nagle Place as Gaeilge for Heritage Week. My own proficiency with the language isn't great but I was really impressed by how well our guide did delivering a tour in the language #HeritageWeek #Cork #Gaeilge

The #CommunityMonumentsFund has been an absolute game changer for sites in private ownership like the towerhouse at #Moone. Without it monuments like this are at considerable risk. Congrats to the owners who have persevered and all the experts involved in carrying out the work. #HeritageWeek
